Accountant III Contract

Our client, a reputable company based in Duluth, GA, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and experience in month-end close processes, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations, with a focus on balance sheet accounts (excluding cash).
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support the analysis and reconciliation of various accounts, including accruals, prepaid, and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Previous experience in month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliation (excluding cash).
• Strong understanding and experience with accrual accounting principles.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
