CNC Maintenance Technician Contract

Pride Now is currently hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician to join the team of our Client in Walpole, MA. Our Client is a leader in Luxury automotive and aviation industries, delivering complex power and propulsion solutions in the air, land and at sea!

We are seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical problems related to CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting field maintenance for CNCs and possess the ability to analyze test results and machine error messages. This position involves working on large CNC machines that directly support our military customers.

Job Description:

Location: Walpole, MA

Shift: 7a-3p M-F (Weekend availability)

Pay: $41.55 / hr

Hire Type: Contract (2+ years)

Key Accountabilities:

• Proactively identify machine issues and provide preventive maintenance in partnership with machine operators (e.g., maintain oil/grease levels; air, hydraulic, hydrostatic, coolant system maintenance)
• Provide reactive maintenance, troubleshooting CNC machines and controls issues (electrical/ electronic, hardware/software) to decrease downtime where possible
• Provide Auxiliary equipment maintenance, including air compressors & air systems, vacuum units and waste oil systems
• Provide test equipment maintenance for Assembly & Test building equipment
• Partner with onsite vendors to oversee and support projects, acting as project liaison between vendor and site leadership
• Contribute to part management onsite, including part inventory, ordering, and tracking

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical repair of CNC machine tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S security clearance

Preferred Requirements:

• Professional attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the organization
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Strong electrical and mechanical background/understanding
• Familiarity with Siemens controls (840C, D, Operate)

• Ingersoll Gantry 2R00400 with Siemens 840D (year installed 1987) (aprx 40’ L x 25’ wide machine footprint)
• Fives MAG RT1250 with Siemens 840D control (installed ~2008) (aprx 30’ x 25’)
• PAMA HP6 with Siemens Operate control (installed 2015) (aprx 30’ x 25’)
• PAMA HP7 with Siemens Operate (installed late 2021) (aprx 35’ x 30’)
• Cinci Mag 800 with Acramatic 950 (installed 1996 to be replaced with a Fives Cincinnati HMC800 in late 2022)
• Bullard VTC with Fanuc 16 TB (to be replaced with a Fives Vertical V1600 in late 2022)
• Dahlih DCM 2216 with Fanuc 0i MF (15’x15’)
• Hermle C50 with Fanuc (not yet installed) (15’x15’)

Rate/Salary: 41.55
