CNC Programmer Full Time NEW

PrideNow is hiring a CNC Programmer! This is a contract to hire or direct hire role with our aerospace client in Dearborn Heights, MI 48125. This is a great opportunity for a strong CNC Machinist/Programmer role.

Pay Rate: up to $40/hour based on experience

Shift: 1^st Shift- 5:30am-3:30pm

Job Duties:

Machines used: Citizens Swiss Lathes, Mori Seiki, and Doosan

Software: MasterCam or Esprit preferred

Primary Duties:

• CNC Programming, Setup, and Operate – Citizens Swiss Lathes and Doosan
• Setup jobs and edit CNC programs with the goal of optimizing the manufacturing process to reduce cycle-time and setup time while maintaining part accuracy.
• Interpret and understand part drawing specifications, materials, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Inspect and verify dimensions of the workpiece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as templates, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
• Demonstrate safe and quality driven work habits
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work and Communicate well with other
• Represent CNC department at New Product Introduction meetings
• Work with engineering on bidding of new products

Required Experience:

• Familiarity with G & M codes
• Setting tool registers
• Offsets, tool compensation
• CNC programming software
• Aerospace experience is strongly preferred
